Noise Tune Active Pro

About the Brand

Noise was founded by Amit Khatri and Gaurav Khatri in 2014. It started as a smartphone accessories brand but slowly entered the earwear and audio category. They were the first Indian brand to offer truly wireless earbuds and keep pushing boundaries.

What You Get in the Box

  • Noise sticker pack
  • Warranty card
  • User Manual
  • Type A to Type C charging cable
  • Extra ear tips and wings

Who is Noise Tune Active Pro for?

Noise Tune Active Pro is a practical neckband for everyday use. Although it doesn’t have any stand-out features, it has good enough features suitable for everyday use.

Their style also makes them suitable for gym goers, which we haven’t seen commonly with neckbands.

They come with added fins on the ear tips, which secures them to your ear and makes them less prone to falling out during workouts.

Important Factors We Tested This Neckband on

Here are all the important factors we tested Noise Tune Active Pro neckband on.

1. Design

Design

Noise Tune Active Pro doesn’t feature a unique design, as you’ll see a lot of other neck bands with the same design. We would’ve liked to see Noise pay more attention to this area and do something innovative.

However, something we did like about the design was the glossy finish on the ear tips with subtle noise branding. Other than the ear tips, the body is entirely matte. The earbuds also come with a magnet on the back to ensure they’re tangle free.

The neck area feels premium; they have used a silicon material so they will feel comfortable to wear. The quality of the buttons also feels good. The neckband comes with 3 multifunction buttons for different uses. On the side, you’ll get a small charging outlet.

The ear tips have added wings or fins, which ensure an even more secure fit. So you won’t have to worry about them falling off. Overall, they are lightweight, give a snug fit, and offer noise isolation without anything playing.

Noise Tune Active Pro comes in 4 different colour variants – black, blue, burgundy, and midnight black.

2. Durability

Noise Tune Active Pro has an IPX5 rating, so it’s resistant to light water splashes. If you work out a lot or go outdoors, you won’t have to worry about damaging them.

While the neckband feels durable, the wires attached to the earbuds feel slightly flimsy. It would be best to handle them carefully, or you’ll risk breaking them.

3. Functions and Connectivity

Functions and Connectivity

Noise Tune Active Pro comes with Bluetooth 5.2, so the connectivity is fast. The neckband supports type C charging, and you also get a fast charging feature.

You also get a voice assistant function. The multifunctional buttons have many touch controls, so you can use them for different things.

Here are all the touch controls

  1. Playback and Volume
  2. Single press middle button to pause or resume playback
  3. Press volume up and down buttons to increase or decrease volume
  4. Long press volume up button to go to the next rack
  5. Long press volume down button to back to previous track

Modes and Calls

  1. Triple press middle button to activate voice assistant feature
  2. Single press middle button to accept calls
  3. Single press middle button to hang up ongoing calls
  4. Long press middle button to directly reject a call

4. Sound Quality

Noise Tune Active Pro comes with 10 mm drivers that feel perfect for these neckbands. You will get clear audio and bass with them.

The sound output felt okay to us. If you’re not picky about their sound, you’ll have a good experience with them. Loudness is good, and I could listen at full volume without any distortion.

You’ll also get clarity in vocals, trebles, and instrumental separation.

Gaming Experience

Noise has promised lag-free gaming and video experience but has not mentioned the exact ms anywhere. I played games on these, and the lag was somewhere around 60 ms which is decent. They could have further decreased the latency for an even smoother experience.

Calling Experience

You get ENR, especially for calls which is decent. It does cancel background noise up to an extent. We used it for calling. There will be some background noise, but the focus will be on your voice.

There might be some disruption in crowded and outdoor areas, but you shouldn’t face any issues indoors.

5. Battery Backup

Noise Tune Active Pro has 60 hours of battery backup, which is great. We used them for 3 – 4 days on a single charge which was great. They also come with a fast charging feature.

If you’re in a hurry, you’ll get 10 hours of playback with 10 minutes of charge. I tested the fast charging feature, and they gave a battery backup of 8 hours.

What Sets Noise Tune Active Pro Apart From Competitors?

The brand doesn’t overwhelm you with features like in other neckbands. They are good for everyday video watching and casual usage. They’ve included only a few features they’ve worked on well, which are suitable for practical use

Should You Purchase Noise Tune Active Pro?

You can consider these if you want a practical neckband for everyday use. These have added fins to the ear tips, which are suitable for the gym. Plus, they are comfortable to wear with their silicone neckband compared to other neckbands with stiffer bands. They are definitely worth a try from our side.

Conclusion

I was really excited to review Noise Tune Active Pro as it seemed like a promising neckband. I’m slightly underwhelmed by how it actually performed.

Noise Tune is a good neckband with practical features, but it doesn’t go beyond that. There aren’t any features that stand out, like battery with boAt Rockerz Trinity or calling with JBL Tune 215.

You get clarity with sound, and they are comfortable to wear to the gym, which is a plus point. We’d recommend testing them out beforehand if you get the option.

Overall if you’re not someone that’s too picky with sound, these could be a good practical option for every day and going to the gym.
