Crossbeats Revolt ANC

Who are These TWS for?

Crossbeats Revolt are for everyone looking for good quality ANC earbuds in the budget segment. If you have to commute daily or want peace during working, these are perfect.

Their performance across all media, such as gaming, music, and videos, is excellent. Honestly, we could easily recommend them to anyone as their performance is terrific across the board.

Important Factors we Tested These Earbuds on

Here is everything we tested Crossbeats Revolt earbuds on.

1. Design

Design

Crossbeats Revolt earbuds come in a square case with rounded corners. It has an entirely matte finish, and the brand name is in the centre.

It features a light indicator and a type-c port on the side. The case might look bulky, but it is lightweight. You can easily carry it around in your pocket.

The earbuds have a stem shape and dual-tone finish. You’ll find crossbeats branding on both of them. You’ll also get clear left and right markings. Their size is just right, and you’ll have no issue wearing them for long hours.

2. Durability

Durability

The case and the earbuds have a plastic build but are of good quality. They feel premium while using. The quality of the case is also good. The lid is sturdy and won’t close off on its own. The magnets are strong, and your earbuds won’t fall off.

The case is surprisingly lightweight despite the bulky look and large battery. You also won’t have any issue carrying it around.

These earbuds have an IPX5 water resistance rating, so they’ll easily survive sweaty workouts and light water splashes.

3. Battery Backup

Battery Backup

Crossbeats Revolt comes with a powerful 380 mAh battery that gives you approx 7 to 8 hours of playback on a single charge. With the case, you’ll get a battery life of 48 hours. They support type C charging and also come with a fast charging feature. You’ll get 8 hours of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging, which is fantastic.

Usually, the company’s claim of their earbud’s battery life is not always accurate. They also aren’t always clear about what volume percentage you’ve to use for the battery to last as claimed. It was our job to test it out, so we did.

We used them for several days, and they lasted us 40 hours with moderate usage. With the fast charging feature, we got approximately 7 hours of charge.

The case only takes 1 hour to fully charge, which is impressive. You won’t ever have to worry about charging with these.

However, a con is that there is no battery level indicator. There is no app support to show the battery percentage. The only indicator for the battery is the light at the front, which is usually red but turns white when the battery is full.

4. Functions and Connectivity

Functions and Connectivity

These earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.3, which works well in a 10 m radius.

They lack insta wake n pair technology; they won’t connect when you open the case. However, once you’ve established a connection, they’ll instantly pair as you remove the buds from the case. They’ll disconnect as soon as you put them back in the case.

Another con is that they don’t come with in-ear detection. They come with many touch control features, so let’s see what they are.

Playback

  1. Double tap any earbud to play or pause music.
  2. Triple tap right earbud to go to the next track.
  3. Triple tap left earbud to go back to the previous track.

Volume

  1. Single tap right earbud to keep increasing volume.
  2. Single tap left earbud to decrease volume.

Switch Modes

  1. Tap left earbud four times to activate the voice assistant feature.
  2. Long press left earbud to enter gaming mode, repeat to exit.
  3. Long press right earbud to switch to ANC, transparency, and normal mode.

Calls

  1. During calls, double tap any earbud to accept, repeat to disconnect.
  2. Long press to directly reject.

5. Sound Quality

Sound Quality

One of the essential features of these earbuds was their ANC, so it was necessary to put them to the test.

They come with both an ANC and a Hybrid ANC mode. The silicone ear tips offer extra sound isolation because of their design, so they work well with ANC.

The ANC mode works well, which I did not expect, given its price. Most of the background noise gets cancelled, and you can enjoy your music peacefully.

The Hybrid ANC or pass-through mode works as the name suggests. It lets environmental sounds pass through. This is good for when you need to know what is happening around you.

Sound Signature

Crossbeats Revolt earbuds come with 10 mm titanium drivers, and their loudness is good. There is no distortion, even at higher sounds. The sound signature is also great.

The bass is adequate, and you’ll also get good clarity. You get instrumental separation with clear vocals and detailing. Overall, the music output is balanced.

Gaming Experience

The brand has claimed a latency mode of up to 40 ms, which we wanted to test out. We played some games on them, and the latency was between 40 to 50 ms, which turned out good.

Calling Experience

Despite the 6-mic setup, we were disappointed that the calling wasn’t great. The noise reduction doesn’t work well. There is distortion in the voice, and there’s still background noise from both sides.

6. Comfort

Comfort

The earbuds are compact, so they feel really comfortable. Their ear tips are soft, and the box has extra ear tips you can adjust to your liking. The fitting is also great so that they won’t fall off, even during heavy workouts.

The earbuds are also incredibly lightweight at 4 gm so that you won’t feel them on.

What Sets Crossbeats Revolt Apart From Competitors?

Crossbeat Revolt stands out from their competitors because of their ANC and battery life. The ANC and battery work together to provide a great experience.

Battery is always an issue with ANC earbuds as they use more battery than usual. Crossbeats has solved this problem by offering both ANC and good batteries at an affordable price.

The case provides a 48-hour playtime, it takes only an hour to charge fully, and it even provides a fast charging option.

All these features make them one of the best ANC earbuds in the budget segment.

Should You Purchase Crossbeats Revolt?

We’d say they perform really well and deserve more hype. They are an underrated pair of earbuds that outperformed big brands.

If you want earbuds for everyday use, then they will be perfect. The only area they lack is calling; they would’ve been an all-rounder then. Even then they aren’t too bad if you can tolerate slight distortion.
