Sony just launched their latest over-ear wireless WH-CH720N headphones. These headphones were launched last month to the global market and are now launching in India. These headphones are priced at Rs 9,990/- and will capture the mid-segment but offer flagship specs.
Specifications and Features of Sony WHCH720N Headphones
These headphones come packed with features and promise to offer a rich sound experience. WH-CH720N Headphones come with 30mm dynamic drivers, noise canceling, and Dual Noise Sensor Technology. A dedicated button activates noise canceling and offers an immersive audio experience that will block out all other sounds.
Sony has used the same integrated Processor VI chip as their award-winning 1000x series headphones for superior noise cancellation.
If you still want to be aware of your surroundings, they come with an ambient mode that uses Dual Noise Sensor Technology. It uses the headphones’ microphones to pick up noise so you can still hear traffic and other background sounds without taking these headphones off.
They also have an integrated feature that has a dedicated wind noise reduction feature which further reduces background noise pickup. The beamforming microphone uses Precise Voice Pickup Technology, so your voice is crystal-clear during calls.
WH-CH720N Headphones also come with Digital Sound Enhancement Engine that upscales compressed music to sound as good as it was when recorded. They offer a feature to tweak music the way you want and come with adjusted presets to choose from.
Build and Battery Backup
When it comes to build, they are the lightest noise-canceling headphones Sony has produced to date and weigh in at 192 g. The headband and ear cups have good cushioning, which makes them comfortable.
The ear cups feature a swivel design. The right ear has three playback buttons and a dedicated button for ANC. The left ear has a power button, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
These headphones also support Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity and can be connected to 2 devices at the same time.
WH-CH720N provide a playback time of up to 50 hours on normal mode and 35 hours with ANC on. They have a quick charge feature, offering 60 minutes of playback time with 3 minutes of charging.
Sony has only used sustainable materials in the packaging of these headphones in their effort to reduce their environmental impact.
Price and Availability
The Sony WH-CH720N Wireless Headphones retail for Rs 9,990. They will be available at all leading offline and online stores starting March 17th, 2023.
The available color options are black, blue, and white.
