Who is boAt Airdopes 141 For?

boAt Airdopes come at an affordable price and are suitable for casual listening. If you need a pair of earbuds for casual listening or going to the gym, these are a great option.

They’ll work fine with multimedia or movies. These earbuds also have a good battery life that will easily last an entire day and more.

Important Factors We Tested BoAt Airdopes 141 on

Here are the crucial factors we tested boAt Airdopes 141 on:

1. Design

BoAt Airdopes 141 Design

In the case of boAt Airdopes 141, you’ll get an indicator that tells you about the battery percentage, and on the bottom of the case, you’ll find the c-type charging port and a reset button.

I have the black variant with me, but Airdopes 141 also comes in 2 other variants – a white and a grey + cyan variant. The variant has an all-black look.

These earbuds are stem-shaped with silicone ear tips. The ear tips are medium-sized out of the box, but you can adjust them to your liking.

You’ll find both the indicator light and touch controls on the stem. These earbuds even have a fingerprint design on the touch control area.

I wouldn’t say I liked the design; boAt could have done more with it. The case is also slightly bigger compared to other earbuds.

Although the case lid has a good quality magnet, it closes securely; you won’t have to worry about them falling off the case.

The earbuds also come with left and right indicators, so you can clearly distinguish them.

Overall, the design is relatively minimal, and they fit in your ears comfortably, so no complaints so far.

2. Durability

BoAt Airdopes 141 Durability

BoAt Airdopes 141 comes with an IPX4 water and sweat-resistant rating. These are a great option if you’re a gym lover who likes to train with their earbuds.

When I was testing them out, they felt quite lightweight, and it was as if I had nothing on them. I also had to swap out the ear tips, but these felt really comfortable after that. I got some passive noise isolation because of the better fit.

3. Sound Quality

BoAt Airdopes 141 Sound Quality

BoAt airdopes come with 8 mm sound drivers, but how well do they actually perform?

My first impression while using them was that their sound wasn’t as punchy as expected. The sound is also lower than other earbuds, and the clarity was missing. I tested them out with everything, including games and multimedia, and I had the same experience everywhere.

Talking about different sound elements, the bass was also lower than expected. The treble was okay, but I still didn’t have a great experience with gaming; the sounds in the background were also not as clear.

The latency is okay with gaming, and it is around 80 ms. But the sound quality could be better.

If you were looking for earbuds to play games like BGMI, I wouldn’t suggest going for these.

So overall, the sound quality wasn’t as great, and I can’t really suggest them.

4. Functions And Connectivity

BoAt Airdopes 141 Functions And Connectivity

boAt Airdopes 141 comes with Bluetooth 5.1, which is slightly outdated at this point. However, it still works well and gets the job done. You’ll get good connectivity within a 10-metre radius.

Airdopes 141 also comes with a 600 mAh battery on the case and 30 mAh on each earbud. The earbuds give a battery backup of around 5 hours, while the case will give you 42 hours of playback time.

Let’s Talk About The Touch Controls

  • Single tap on any earbud to play or pause playback
  • Double tap right earbud to go to the next track
  • Double tap left earbud to go back to the previous track
  • Long press any earbud for 3 seconds to turn on voice assistant
  • Triple-tap any earbud to turn on the gaming mode
  • Double tap any earbud to accept incoming call
  • Double tap any earbud to hang up an ongoing call

There aren’t a lot of touch controls, but they are fairly simple to understand and similar to a lot of other earbuds.

5. Value For Money

The earbuds are currently retailing for around Rs 1400. They aren’t too bad for the price.

If you are looking for a pair of earbuds to take to the gym or for some casual multimedia usage, then these can be a good pick.

They are a good pick if you can compromise a little on sound. I wouldn’t recommend them for gaming because the experience wasn’t great with it.

What Sets BoAt Airdopes 141 Apart From Competitors?

What Sets BoAt Airdopes 141 Apart From Competitors?

boAt Airdopes 141 comes at an affordable price point, while most of its competitors are priced above Rs 1500. The price even goes lower during sales, so affordability is a huge plus factor.

The earbuds are good for the price. You can use all kinds of media with them, and the sound quality is decent.

Newer Models – BoAt Airdopes 141 Vs BoAt Airdopes 141 Pro

BoAt Airdopes 141 Pro is the newer version of boAt Airdopes 141. Airdopes 141 was launched in 2021, while Airdopes 141 Pro came out in 2022.

Airdopes 141 Pro has a new and updated design; you’ll see a transparent lid on the case, which lets you see the earbuds inside. The shape of the case is also circular, while the airdopes 141 favours a more rectangular shape.

Airdopes 141 has a case that gives you an idea about the charging percentage through multiple LED lights, while Airdopes 141 Pro has a reset button.

Airdopes 141 Pro has also changed the design of the earbuds. They feature a half in-ear design and have an entirely plastic body with no silicone ear tips.

Testing the sound quality of both, boAt Airdopes 141 provides a better experience as it comes with silicone ear tips. The ENx is also similar in both earbuds.

Since both earbuds have different designs, you can choose based on your preference.

However, both products’ sound quality is similar and even slightly better on Airdopes 141. So it would be better to go with them instead of the newer version since they are also cheaper.

Should You Purchase BoAt Airdopes 141?

Should You Purchase BoAt Airdopes 141?

It depends; if you’re not too concerned about sound quality and want something for casual listening, then these are a good pick. These earbuds come at an affordable price point and are comfortable and secure enough to take them to places like the gym.

I also wouldn’t recommend them for gaming. Although the latency is low, the sound experience wasn’t great, so you’ll miss out on important insights.

Airdopes 141 were a promising find and came at an affordable price. After testing them out, they do work well for the price. However, if the sound quality was a tad bit better, these would have been a solid recommendation from us.

They are comfortable to use and feel really lightweight. Their fit is also secure, and they can easily accompany you for workouts.

Airdopes 141 are great for casual and multimedia usage, but I can’t recommend them for hardcore audiophiles or gamers. The sound quality is decent for the price but not good enough to get a strong recommendation.
