Looking for an affordable pair of wireless earbuds that does not compromise on features? I have just the product for you.

Today I will be reviewing Truke Buds Vibe, which promises a lot of features, all at an affordable price point.

Buds Vibe has several features, including Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and four distinct sound presets, including the dynamic and boosted bass mood. There’s ENC for calling, a low-latency gaming mode, and a fast charging option.

These features sound great on paper, but how well do they perform in real life? Well, that is what I’m here for, and I will test everything in detail. Let’s get started.

Who is Truke Buds Vibe For?

Important Factors We tested Truke Buds Vibe on

Here are all the essential factors we tested the Truke Buds Vibe on.

1. Design

Truke Buds Vibe Design

The case Truke Buds Vibe has a different look; it features a translucent look that lets you see the earbuds. It also has a fantastic numerical indicator at the front of the case that lets you know the battery percentage.

The case has Truke branding on the back. On the bottom of the case, you’ll find a charging port.

I opted for the black and yellow variant, which has this unique case. Truke Buds Vibe also comes in 2 other colour variants – black and blue so you can opt according to your preference.

My variant has a combination of both black and yellow elements. In the case, you’ll see that the outer case is black while the inner part that houses the earbuds is yellow, which adds a nice contrast. The earbuds are also black with yellow ear tips.

The earbuds are stem shaped, and you’ll find Truke written on the stem with an LED light on the top, along with touch sensors. The earbuds also feature a quad-mic setup with two mics on each earbud.

The overall look and feel of the case is premium.

2. Durability

Truke Buds Vibe come with an IPX5 rating, meaning they are water and sweat-resistant. You can easily take them to the gym, and they will accompany you for all your workouts.

If you’re a gym goer, then these earbuds are a great affordable option to go for. They also have a secure fit.

When it comes to their build quality, I liked it. The plastic they have used for the build is excellent. Both the case and the earbuds feel sturdy. The magnet on the case is also sturdy, so you can be assured that your earbuds won’t fall off.

3. Battery

Truke Buds Vibe Battery

Truke Buds Vibe has a 300 mAh battery on the charging case and provides a battery backup of up to 48 hours. On the earbuds, you’ll get a battery of around 40 mAh, which gives you about 5 to 6 hours of playback on a single charge.

If the battery backup is true to claim, it is decent enough and should last you the entire day if you’re a moderate user.

However, testing out the battery claim, I was left disappointed. If you’re a moderate user, they’ll last you only around 36 hours which is way lower than the company claimed.

Also, remember that the ANC mode drains the battery faster, so you’ll get even less playtime. The earbuds will only last 3 to 4 hours on a single charge.

Truke also makes a fast charging claim that a ten-minute charge will power you through 10 hours of playtime. I got around 6 to 7 hours of battery when I tested them out.

The battery backup did sound impressive on paper, but it doesn’t function as well in the real world. This could be because these buds consume a lot of battery due to the numerous features they offer.

4. Sound Quality

Truke Buds Vibe Sound Quality

Truke Buds Vibe has 13 mm drivers, which are larger than most of their competitors. The larger the driver, the louder sound it can produce. However, these earbuds weren’t too loud. You’ll get a good listening experience even when you listen at full volume.

Let’s talk about the sound quality. The sound is what I enjoyed the most about these earbuds.

I tested them out with different kinds of media, like music, movies, and anime. My experience of using them was great. The clarity on them is fantastic.

Plus, you’ll also get a lot of different modes you can switch and play around with. The mode options include balanced, dynamic, bass-boosted, and movie modes.

In my experience, the dynamic mode worked the best because it enhances different sound elements like bass and treble; you’ll get a great listening experience with them.

However, I felt the loudness was slightly less with the Balanced mode, and the bass was subdued. The movie mode also functions similarly to the balanced mode, you’ll get clarity with vocals, but other sound elements will be subdued.

The bass-boosted mode is great for music lovers, the bass isn’t that boosted on the other modes, but you’ll be able to feel it clearly with this mode.

I recommend sticking with the Dynamic mode if you consume a lot of multimedia.

Coming to the gaming experience, I played games like Call of Duty with these earbuds. I could clearly make out everything inside the game and where all the sounds were coming from.

You can expect around 60 ms latency with them; they haven’t mentioned this in writing anywhere, but this is what I can estimate after using them for a while. 60 ms will give you a decent gaming experience if you’re looking to game on these earbuds.

Overall, their sound quality is excellent, and I enjoyed having so many presets to choose from. The sound quality on all of them was great.

5. Functions And Connectivity

Truke Buds Vibe Functions And Connectivity

Truke Buds Vibe comes with the latest Bluetooth version 5.3, which is good for fast connectivity and pairing. Most earbuds come with older versions of Bluetooth, like 5.1 or 5.2, so this was a good addition.

Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation is another differentiating feature that many earbuds don’t provide in this price range. ANC cancels out external noises so you can focus on whatever you’re currently listening to.

The Hybrid ANC comes in handy when you need to be aware of your surroundings to a certain extent. This is useful in situations like if you are running outdoors and still need to be aware of surrounding traffic noises or when someone is talking to you.

Let’s talk about their touch controls now.

Playback

  • Single tap on any earbud to play or pause
  • Double tap left earbud to go to the previous track
  • Double-tap the right earbud to go to the next track

Switching Modes

  • Triple-tap the right earbud to activate the gaming mode
  • Triple tap left earbud to activate the voice assistant
  • Long press right earbud for 2 seconds to activate ANC
  • Long press the right earbud again to switch to transparent mode
  • Long press the left earbud for 2 seconds to switch to different sound presets

During Calls

  • Single tap to receive incoming calls
  • Double tap to reject an incoming call
  • Long press any earbud to hang up an ongoing call

The touch controls are quite responsive and work well. They are also easy to understand. Overall, I really liked the functions and connectivity features of these earbuds.
