Today I’m reviewing another product from Zebronics, their Zeb Crusher gaming headphones. They have a different look compared to all the other headphones I’ve tested so far and come at a relatively affordable price point, so I’m excited to get into their review.
I want to thoroughly test them out and see how well they perform. They come with features like RGB LED lights, 50 mm sound drivers, and a control to adjust functions.
Zeb Crusher also comes with window software support and 7.1 surround sound. The brand also claims they feature boosted bass, which I will definitely test out.
Want to know more about how they perform? Let’s quickly get into the review.

Zebronics Zeb Crusher
About the Brand
Zebronics is an Indian brand that was founded in 1997 by Rajesh Doshi. They cater to many markets and manufacture different products, including Audio, IT & gaming peripherals, and mobile accessories. The brand is headquartered in Chennai.
Their mission is to provide great design and performance in their products while making them affordable so anyone can buy them.
Who is Zebronics Zeb Crusher For?
Zebronics Zeb Crusher comes at a relatively reasonable price tag compared to other gaming headphones in the market. So if you’re on a budget, then these are a good option.
They are also a good option for occasional gamers. You can also use it for multimedia and taking calls since the microphone is great.
Important Factors We Tested These Zebronics Zeb Crusher On
Here are all the important factors we tested Zebronics Zeb Crusher on.
1. Design
The design is a unique part of Zebronics Zeb Crusher headphones. You get a cool masked skull design on one ear cup’s side while the other is blank. Both ear cups have a strip of RGB lights. The RGB lights up once you plug in the connector to your PC.
You can control the RGB lights through the control provided on the braided wire. The light changes on the RGB, which gives it a cool look.
The headphones are relatively lightweight, and you can comfortably wear them. The headband is adjustable, so you use it to your preference. You’ll also find soft cushioning on the ear cups and headband, making these really comfy to wear.
The clamping force on them is also less so I had them on for long hours without much discomfort.
Another aspect that gives them more comfort is the rotatable ear cups. You can adjust these to your liking. Zeb Crusher is also an over-the-ear headphone with large ear cups so they comfortably sit over your ears without pressing down.
The headphones also come with a high-quality, long braided cable. You also get a controller attached that lets you access functions like the mute button for the microphone, volume rockers, and RGB light control.
Zeb Crusher comes in 2 colour variants – black and white. I have the white variant, which makes the RGB lights pop even more.
Build Quality and Durability
The build quality on Zebronics Zeb Crusher feels slightly weak. They will not last long if you don’t handle them carefully. The build feels cheap and flimsy.
The rotating ear cups on these headphones felt the most flimsy. The plastic material is really light, and Zebronics should have opted for a sturdier material.
You have to be really careful with them so they don’t break. The material makes them lightweight, so they might be a good option for folks tired of bulkier headphones.
2. Sound Quality
I played a lot of different games on them, like Modern Warfare 2 and GTA. After having tested out all these games on these headphones, in my experience, the sound was just okay. It was nothing extraordinary, and it did not amaze me.
I have used a lot of gaming headphones in the past few weeks, so I have gotten an idea of how good gaming headphones should sound like. But the sound on Zebronics Zeb Crusher was pretty basic.
Zebronics also claimed that these headphones come with boosted bass, but I tested out the sound, and it’s not.
Treble on gaming headphones is really important, but that was also missing from them. It helps you know exactly what is happening inside the game, like where your enemies are going to come from.
Nothing stands out on the headphones like bass or treble, compared to other headphones. The volume is also just okay; it is not as loud as a gaming headphone can be.
I would recommend these headphones to casual gamers who play games occasionally. Heavy gamers that play a lot of multiplayer games where the sound quality is really important to know exactly what is happening inside the game would be better off with other options.
3. Mic Quality
I was fairly surprised with the mic quality of these headphones. I did not have any expectations going in, but it performed really well during testing. The microphone performs well on Zeb Crusher.
I had a lot of noise in my background, like AC and fans, but the mic still worked well. It cut off all the background noise and only picked up my voice.
The mic is great for the price. If you have other uses besides gaming, like taking calls or meetings, then the mic is trusty, and you can use it.
4. Functions and Connectivity
Zebronics Zeb Crusher has a USB TYPE A to connect to your PC or console. If you want to use it on your phone, then you can buy an OTG adapter to connect it. However, in my experience, you’ll get a much better experience if you use it on your PC or gaming console.
You also get 7.1 surround sound with any multimedia, game, or song that comes with 360 surround sound. This is a standard feature that I’ve seen in almost all the gaming headphones I’ve reviewed so far.
I tested out this feature with a game that supported 360 audio, and it worked really well; no complaints with it.
What Sets Zebronics Zeb Crusher Apart From Competitors?
Zebronics Zeb Crusher varies from other gaming headphones in terms of affordability. You’ll also see this across other Zebronics products.
Both gaming headphones are priced above Rs 2000, but these headphones are priced around Rs 1500. While the build quality is not the best, a lot of people prefer lightweight headphones since most gaming headphones are bulkier. They feel uncomfortable to wear for long hours.
These headphones are relatively light because of their build and also have soft cushioning on both the headband and ear cups. You shouldn’t face any issues if you handle them with care.
Should You Purchase Zebronics Zeb Crusher?
It depends entirely on your use case. If you’re a heavy gamer, the sound quality on the Zeb Crusher will disappoint you. The treble and bass are just okay, and you will not be able to hear what is going on inside the game clearly.
The low sound quality also doesn’t make it suitable for multimedia usage like songs or movies. However, the sound quality isn’t too bad either. If you’re a casual user that isn’t too concerned about sound quality, then you can consider these.
You get cool-looking gaming headphones with RGB lights for an affordable price point.

Now that we’re at the end of the review, I had a lot of expectations before testing out the Zebronics Zeb Crusher headphones. These headphones come at an affordable price, and the brand made many promises regarding their sound quality.
But ultimately, these headphones let me down. They are okay if you’re a casual user, but the sound quality is not the best.
