Oppo Enco Air 2 are popular half-in-ear buds that many people have a preference for. They come with 13.4 mm sound drivers and have a lot of customization options through app support. These earbuds also come with different sound presets so you can change them according to your preferences.
Why Do They Have Their Position on The List?
Oppo Enco Air 2 are an overall great pair of earbuds. Their design and comfort are great and so is the sound quality. They had a decent sound output and the battery also lasted a decent amount of time.

Oppo Enco Air 2 has a minimalistic design and you get a transparent jelly lid while the rest of the case has a matte finish. There’s a battery indicator light on the front with a type The earbuds have winged tips that provide comfort. I found the case to be slightly large but it still fit comfortably inside my pocket.
Battery And Features
These earbuds come with Bluetooth version 5.2 and have a connectivity radius of 10 metres. During gaming, their latency is around 80 ms, it is okay for occasional gaming but you might notice some issues with heavy-duty games.
These come with a 440 mAh battery on the case and provide an overall playback time of 28 hours. However, while testing, I found the actual battery life to be a little less than the company claimed and they lasted me 22 hours. How much the battery lasts will also depend on your usage.
Sound Quality
The earbuds come with 13.4 mm sound drivers. I tested them out with many forms of multimedia. They had good highs and lows, the only thing missing from them was bass because of the ear tip design. This is not usually a con and ultimately boils down to personal preference.
What Sets Them Apart?
Oppo Enco Air 2 are a great choice for people who prefer half-in-ear design earbuds. There aren’t many options like this available in the market. They combine comfort with good sound quality.
When Should You Get Them?
If you’re looking for an excellent pair of half-in-ear design earbuds, then these will be a great choice. In my experience, the sound quality was great and the comfort means you can wear them for long hours.

2. Realme Buds Air 3 Neo
Brief Overview
Realme Buds Air 3 Neo are popular earbuds and an affordable version of the Realme Buds Air Series. These earbuds have 10 mm sound drivers and features like Sound Equalizers and Customization through the app.
Why Do They Have Their Position on The List?
These earbuds have a lot of features packed into one. They have amazing sound quality along with features like app support and customization. Buds Air 3 Neo is a great value for their money under Rs 2000, which is why they are 2nd on our list.

Realme Buds 3 Neo comes with a translucent case cover. On the earbuds, you’ll find regular silicone ear tips. I have the Starry Blue variant which looks really nice. You’ll find an LED battery indicator on the case and C-type charging port on the bottom. The size is also good so you can easily carry it around.
Features And Battery
These earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.2. I paired them up with the Realme Link App which gives access to a lot of sound presets along with an option to enhance volume. You’ll also get options to customise touch controls and turn on gaming mode. I tested the latency with the gaming mode and it is around 80 ms; alright for casual gaming.
The battery life promised by the brand was around 30 hours of playback time. After testing it out, it lasted me around 25 hours which is still decent.
You’ll get really good bass on these earbuds and even the vocals on them. Highs and mids are also balanced out properly.
Sound Quality
These earbuds come with 10 mm bass-boosted drivers. Their sound quality was great and I especially liked the quality of the bass as most budget earbuds have bass missing. After testing them, I can say the highs and mids were also balanced out and so were the vocals.
What Sets Them Apart?
Realme Buds Air 3 Neo offers excellent value for the price you pay. You get loads of features along with excellent sound quality, all at an affordable price point.
When Should You Get Them?
If you’re looking for an affordable pair of earbuds with great bass quality then these are a great choice. The ear tip design ensures that you get sound isolation so your music listening experience will be great. Also if you’re a fan of customization then the addition of sound presets is great.

3. Truke Vibes Buds
Brief Overview
Truke Buds Vibe offers a lot of great features at an affordable price along with ANC. These earbuds come with 4 different sound presets, a gaming mode, and ENC for calling.
Why Do They Have Their Position on The List?
Truke Buds Vibe has a lot of great features along with ANC. Although the sound quality couldn’t surpass the top 2 earbuds on our list, it was still pretty good.

Truke Buds Vibe features a translucent case cover that lets you see inside the case. With these earbuds, you also get a numerical battery indicator that lets you see how much charge you have on the case. The earbuds have silicone tips and come with Type-C charging support.
Their size is similar to Oppo Enco Air 2 but you can still carry them around easily.
Features And Battery
These earbuds come with the latest Bluetooth version 5.3. They come with Hybrid ANC which is not what you’d normally see in this price range. They also have 4 different sound presets which gives you a nice range of options.
Truke Buds Vibe offers a massive battery life of 48 hours, however, this didn’t turn out to be true to the claim. I tested them out and the battery was around 36 hours. Furthermore, the battery reduces the playback time even more and you’ll be left with only 3 – 4 hours of battery on the earbuds.
Sound Quality
Truke Buds Vibe has 13 mm drivers, which is probably why I felt that both the bass and the sound on the earbuds were louder compared to other earbuds. If you don’t like the sound out of the box then you can play around with the presets and find something that sounds better.
What Sets Them Apart?
Their biggest differentiator is that they provide Active Noise Cancellation at an affordable feature. They also give you sound presets, ENx, and a gaming mode; all of which are hard to find at this price point.
When Should You Get Them?
If you want access to a lot of different features at an affordable price point then these would be a great choice.

4. BoAt Airdopes 141
Brief Overview
boAt Airdopes 141 are one of the most popular earbuds with almost 2 lakh rating on Amazon. The brand claims to offer a lot of good features at an affordable price like Beast Mode, ENx, ASAP charging and playback of 42 hours.
Why Do They Have Their Position on The List?
These earbuds have a good sound quality but the features are just decent when compared to other earbuds on our list. Also, the case is slightly bulky.

BoAt Airdopes 141 comes in a rectangular shaped case with rounded corners. There’s a battery indicator, reset button, and C-type charging port on the case. These earbuds are stem-shaped with silicone ear tips.
Features And Battery
Airdopes 141 comes with Bluetooth Version 5.1. You get beast mode and I got a latency of around 80 ms on it. The Addition of ENcx to this mix was also a good addition.
BoAt promises a battery life of 45 hours, while testing it lasted me around 42 hours which was better than expected.
Sound Quality
With these earbuds, you’ll get boAt signature sound. However, the bass wasn’t as punchy and the sound was also lower than expected. During testing, I found the sound quality to be the same across all media so it was disappointing.
What Sets Them Apart?
BoAt Airdopes come at an affordable price point which is a great differentiating factor. It is usually priced under Rs 1500 and during sales, the price even goes down to Rs 1100 which is great.
When Should You Get Them?
If you’re looking for an affordable pair of earbuds for everyday multimedia use then these will be a good pick.

5. Boult Audio X1
Brief Overview
Boult Audio X1 are a simple pair of earbuds. They come with features such as passive noise isolation, an IPX5 rating, and touch controls.
Why Do They Have Their Position on The List?
I had a lot of expectations from these earbuds but they left me disappointed. The battery is on the lower side and the sound quality wasn’t great. Their performance couldn’t justify their high price point which is why they are at the bottom of our list.

Boult Audio X1 features a compact case and the design has a contemporary look and feel to it. Inside the case, you’ll find winged-tip earbuds. Their size is the smallest out of all the buds I’ve tested out.
Features And Battery
These earbuds come with Bluetooth Version 5.1 and an IPX5 water-resistant rating. However, the fit of the earbuds is not secure enough to take to the gym.
There’s a 250 mAh battery on the case and 30 mAh on the buds. The company claims a playback time of 25 hours. After using them, I got a playback time of around 18 – 20 hours.
Sound Quality
I had a lot of expectations before testing them but I was left disappointed. The vocals weren’t as clear and the bass was subdued. The treble was just okay. Overall, the sound quality was disappointing.
What Sets Them Apart?
Boult Audio X1 has a minimalīst and modern-looking design. These earbuds also have a winged ear tip design which is hard to find in the market.
When Should You Get Them?
Honestly, we wouldn’t recommend getting them. Their performance was just average and the sound quality was disappointing.
