TWS Ranking – From Best to Worst
Now that you’ve gotten a brief overview of all the competing earbuds, which is the best?
Let’s get into the rankings.
1. Crossbeats Revolt
Crossbeats Revolt are an excellent TWS option in the budget. Crossbeats is a lesser known brand and we found them during our research. These earbuds have a fantastic sound signature, build quality, and battery. They perform well and have all the features you might want in a good TWS.
Crossbeats Revolt are an all-rounder pair of TWS and are balanced in all the features, which is why they are on top of our list.
Sound Quality
These earbuds come with 10 mm titanium drivers. While listening to music on them, the sound experience was excellent. The sound was balanced with clear vocals and good detailing. The sound output is excellent overall. We noticed no distortion in sound, even at higher volumes.
ANC
Although the company hasn’t specified the sound cancellation level, we used them during testing, and they worked great. They cancel out all low-frequency sounds, so they’ll work well in office environments.
The Hybrid ANC mode lets some sounds pass through so you’re aware of everything happening around you.
Connectivity
They come with the latest version 5.3 of Bluetooth, which is impressive. They connect easily, but we would’ve liked to see Wake n Pair technology, which was missing from them.
Build and Comfort
They come in a sturdy square case with rounded corners. The earbuds look stylish with a dual-tone finish. As for comfort, we wore them during testing and didn’t feel a thing. They are compact and have a great fit. We also used them for a heavy workout, and they stayed on through the entire session.
Battery
Crossbeats Revolt comes with a powerful 380 mAh battery that will give you approx 8 hours of playback on the buds and 48 hours on the case. We tested this claim, and their battery lasted around 40 hours which is decent.
What Sets Them Apart
Their ANC is amazing for the price. Most ANC TWS in the affordable range ignore battery. Crossbeats haven’t, which makes these earbuds a powerhouse. They also have a fast charging feature that gives them an impressive 8 hours of playback in just 10 minutes of charging.
When should you get them – If you’re looking for an all-rounder pair of ANC earbuds that do not compromise on other aspects, they are for you. In our experience, these are a steal for the price. You get great ANC along with good battery life and sound quality.
Pros
Cons
2. Oppo Enco Air 3
Oppo Enco Air 3 are the latest edition to the popular Enco Air series. They have a unique design with many exciting features like 13.4 mm audio drivers, different sound modes, and gaming.
They live up to their hype, which is why they are so high on our list.
Sound Quality
These buds have powerful 13.4 mm audio drivers and three different sound modes. You also get an Alive audio option. We loved the option to customize the sound to our liking. If you like balanced sounds, use the original or clear vocals mode.
If you like bass, go for boosted bass, and you get a punchy sound you’ll like. We also tested the Alive mode, which works great with games and music supporting 360 audio.
Connectivity
They come with the latest 5.3 Bluetooth and Wake N Pair technology. When we were using the product, we loved having the option of app support. Heymelody let us customize sound and also touch, which was convenient.
Calling
They’ve provided a Noise cancellation feature for calling. Despite this, the calling feature felt average. We could still hear a lot of background noise.
Build and Comfort
Enco Air 3 comes in a transparent Jelly case. The earbuds are entirely plastic and come in a half-in-ear design. The charging case and buds are light, making them easy to wear and carry around. In our experience, people used to silicon buds will take some time to get used to them.
Battery Backup
Oppo promised a battery life of 6 hours and 25 with the case. We tested this claim, and unfortunately, they only lasted us 4 hours and 20 hours with the case. So the battery on this is a slight con in our books.
What Sets Them Apart
They have a unique design you won’t commonly see. They also come with three different sound modes that give you the option to customise the sound to your preference. Their gaming mode also works well. I used them during testing and have no complaints.
When Should You Get Them
Consider these an excellent option if you’re a fan of the in-ear design. After our hands-on analysis, we can recommend them. They won’t disappoint when it comes to sound and gaming. If you want a TWS where you can customise sound, go for these.
Pros
Cons
3. Boat Nirvana Ion
boAt Nirvana Ion has one of the most powerful battery backups in the budget TWS segment. They also come with exciting features such as a dual EQ with a bass mode, ENx technology for calls, and gaming mode.
They are full of other features despite the powerful battery. This is why they are 3rd on our list.
- 120 hours of battery backup
- 10 mm audio drivers
- Quad Mics for calls
- Beast Mode for gaming
Build Quality
They have a premium-looking case with a matte finish. The case is slightly big, and the buds have a thicker stem due to the bigger battery. We wore them for an entire day during testing and had to keep taking breaks with them as they felt uncomfortable.
Functions and Connectivity
Nirvana Ion has Bluetooth 5.2 and Insta Wake N’ Pair technology, so they pair instantly.
Sound Quality
These earbuds come with Dual Equalizers, so you get two sound modes – balanced and signature. Balanced is great for every day, with clear audio and balanced sound. When we used the earbuds, we noticed the signature mode leans a bit bass-heavy and sometimes tends to overpower mids and highs.
Calling
Nirvana Ion comes with ENx Technology that promises to eliminate environmental noises. They come with a quad-mic setup, and the calling was surprisingly good. We took a lot of calls on them, and the voice was clear from both ends. These are good TWS for calls and meetings.
Battery Backup
Nirvana Ion has a 600 mAh battery and 70 mAh on the buds. They promise a playback of 24 hours with the buds and 120 hours with the case. We used them for two days of testing, and they still had most of the battery left. In our experience, other TWS usually ran out of battery in a few hours, but these held up well.
What Sets Them Apart
Their battery truly gives them an edge over their competitors. After our hands-on analysis, we can say the battery life will easily last you more than a week on moderate usage. You won’t have to worry about charging in between. They also have other great features, so you get the whole package.
When Should You Get Them
In our experience, these will be great if you travel around a lot and need something you can use without worrying about running out of battery.
These are also an excellent pick for when you need to take constant calls and meetings. You can expect excellent call quality from these earbuds.
Pros
Cons
4. OnePlus Nord Buds
OnePlus Nord Buds are the first OnePlus TWS launch in the budget segment. They have a cool look to them. Both the case and the buds feel premium. They are comfortable to wear, so they can easily be your daily drivers.
A con with them is that their support is limited to OnePlus phones. So many cool features will be missing if you have a different device. This is why they are no. 4 on our list and not higher up.
Sound Quality
We noticed they lean towards a bass-heavy sound, so you’ll like them if you prefer those sounds. During testing, we also noticed that the sound is loud, so they have good highs, but mids tend to get suppressed. These do come with sound equaliser support, so you can adjust them to your preference.
Battery
They come with a 480 mAh battery and 41 mAh on each earbud. They promise a battery of 7 hours and 30 on the case. But we only got 5 hours and 25 hours with the case while testing.
Build
They feature a unique design. We don’t think we’ve seen a design similar to this. The charging case comes in a trunk shape and with a glossy finish. The buds come with flat stems and have touchpads for touch controls. They are incredibly light and comfortable for long hours.
Connectivity
They come with Bluetooth 5.2 support and have a fast pair option, but only for OnePlus phones which was disappointing. They also come with A dual connection, so you can be connected to two devices at once. You can access sound and touch control customization through the heymelody app.
What Sets Them Apart
They have a different look that you won’t see with any other TWS. They are still comfortable to wear, so they can easily be your daily drivers.
When Should You Get Them
If you have a OnePlus phone, they’ll be a great pair of earbuds for you. They come with many features like Dolby Atmos Support and Gaming mode reserved for OnePlus phones. We believe these TWS will work great when paired with a OnePlus device.
Pros
Cons
5. Noise Air Buds Pro 2
Noise Buds are an addition to the Noise Air Buds series. They promised Hybrid ANC up to 40 dB, but their performance was average.
Despite all the promises, they have compromised in many areas, and their performance was average. This is why they are 5th on our list.
Noise Air Buds Pro 2
- Bluetooth 5.2
- HD AAC codec
- ENx with 6-mic setup
- ANC up to 40 dB
Sound Quality
They come with 10 mm sound drivers, which you’ll find with most earbuds. When it comes to ANC, it does work according to claim, but while using them, I felt a vacuum in my ear. It became overwhelming to use after some time.
Calls
These TWS come with a triple mic setup. While testing them, we noticed a distortion in the sound, and we could hear background noises.
Connectivity
They come with Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity and instantly pair once you’ve established a connection. They have a lot of touch control options. We think it would’ve been better if they’d given an app to customise the touch controls.
Build
They have a clean-looking design. The earbuds are small in size with clear markings. They feel slightly heavy. We felt the lid on the case was slightly flimsy, so handle it carefully.
What Sets Them Apart
They offer a good range of ANC, try testing them out, and if they don’t feel uncomfortable, you can go for them.
When Should You Get Them
They have an excellent sound signature and are small in size. The silicone ear tips guarantee comfort, and they have a snug fit.
You can consider these if you need good-fitting earbuds that won’t fall off during heavy workouts. We tested them for a workout, and they stayed in the whole time.
Pros
Cons
6. boAt Airdopes 393 ANC
boAt Airdopes offer one of the best ANC among boAt airdopes, so we were excited to test them out. Their build quality isn’t up to the mark. There’s detailing missing in sound quality.
They left us disappointed, which is why they are last on the list.
boAt Airdopes 393 ANC
- 10mm sound drivers
- ANC up to 32 dB
- Beast mode for gaming
- ASAP charging
Sound Quality
They come with 10 mm audio drivers, which is common. These earbuds are loud, and you miss out on mids and lows. While using them, we noticed detailing missing with the sound. We used them for a music session, and the loudness was there, but the details were gone.
The ANC mode works well and delivers according to promise. In our experience, it cancels out most environmental sounds, so you can use them in an office setting.
Calls
Airdopes 393 ANC comes with ENx technology. They have 4 microphones in total, and the calling is good. However, the mic picks up some background noises, so, during testing, we noticed some disturbance.
Connectivity
These earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.2, providing a 10-metre connection. They also come with Insta Wake N Pair and many touch controls.
Build
The case quality felt cheap compared to other TWS cases. The plastic feels flimsy, and they could’ve worked on the quality. We tested out other TWS and have this complaint only with boAt 393 ANC.
Battery
boAt promises a battery life of 5 to 6 hours on these and up to 30 on the case. I tested them for an intense gaming session, and they lasted me around 5 hours which is decent. The ANC drains their battery faster, so keep that in mind.
What Sets Them Apart
In my experience, they have good sound cancellation compared to most ANC buds in the budget range. Other earbuds offer only up to 25 dB, so these have a good range.
When Should You Get Them
If you want good ANC earbuds, go for them. I’ve tested them out even in an office setting, and they perform well. They’ll tune out most of the background noises so you can focus on work. It lets some noise through, which is good when someone needs to talk to you.

While a TWS might not perform well in an area like design or battery, it can have other features you like, so consider your preferences.
